Dinny's hometown is Scarsdale, New York. Her education includes an honors degree from Franconia College in New Hampshire (1968) and a BFA in apparel design from Rhode Island School of Design (1974). Dinny and her husband Bill moved to Jamestown in 1974. They have one 23 year old daughter.

Dinny has coached gymnastics with elementary and junior high school students. She is an avid boater and swimmer in the summer, and a figure skater and skier in the winter. She is an active member of the Conanicut Yacht Club. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Greece, Turkey, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Before becoming a Realtor, Dinny worked in fashion for many years as a manager in retail stores, and in other related capacities. Dinny has been a successful, full-time Realtor practicing in Rhode Island for 13 years. She is a member of the Newport County Board of Realtors, the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
